CLANRANALD RESIDENCE
Renovating an old house that is over 100 years old is often a complex challenge, especially after fire damage.
For this project, the house benefited from a complete renovation with an extension that affected the kitchen and the living room, as well as the addition of a child's bedroom and a master bedroom with adjoining bathroom, with the aim of creating a functional and comfortable family space.
The terrace overlooking the garden is a welcome addition, allowing you to take full advantage of the outdoor space and views. The large openings maximize the amount of natural light, creating a bright and airy interior that seamlessly connects with the outdoors.
The use of black masonry and burnt wood is a bold and contemporary choice that highlights the geometry of the extension. The contrast with the old structure adds an element of modernity while respecting the historic character of the house. The materials chosen also have the advantage of being durable and resistant, offering a long-term solution for the maintenance of the house.
Overall, this complete renovation shows attention to detail and a desire to create a functional, comfortable and aesthetic living space that meets the needs of the family and respects the history and character of the house.
