CHALET VAL DAVID
The chalet located in the heart of the Laurentian forest is a beautiful example of architecture that respects the natural environment. It was built on a sloping site, which allowed for a harmonious integration of the construction into its natural environment.
The main floor, which is the chalet's living space, offers stunning views of the mountain facing east thanks to a cantilevered volume. The roof terrace is accessible from the mezzanine, where there is a living room, offering an outdoor relaxation area.
The emerald green stained pine wood slat cladding gives the chalet a modern yet natural look that blends perfectly with the forest environment. The basement, where the bedrooms are located, is covered with rustic-style stone, adding a warm touch to the interior.
The use of natural materials and the combination of colours and volumes allow to create a contemporary and authentic architecture, in perfect harmony with the surrounding nature. The split-level construction also made it possible to maximise the use of the space available on the sloping land while offering an exceptional view of the surrounding landscape.
