PERIGNY CHAMBLY COMMUNITY CENTER

This project, initiated by the Chambly Peace Association (APC), is located on a large plot of land made up of two lots.
The optimal design of the project began with respecting the city's requirements for exterior design, building form and style, while meeting the needs of the community and the APC.
The city required that access to the site be via Boulevard Périgny only. Forty-three parking spaces were provided, including six at the front and thirty-seven at the back, including two for people with reduced mobility. A space was also provided for eight bicycles.
The landscaping was designed by the Boréa firm, headed by Ms. Isabelle Lord, who was able to adapt to the constraints of the land by offering an interesting choice of plantations and vegetation, thus creating a real cohesion with the building and the land.
The interior design of the community center was created by the team of the specialized agency Air Design, led by Mr. Zouhair Ben Jannet, with the aim of creating an atmosphere that is welcoming, comfortable and functional.
The shape of the building is the result of the city's requirements and the functional program of the community center.
The architectural style is based on the classical order, with a base in beige reconstituted stone, a body in red clay brick and a crowning presented by a cornice in beige reconstituted stone.
The exterior walls are pierced with large windows and decorated with dark gray aluminum canopies.
This universal style, both contemporary and authentic, adapts perfectly to the city's urban landscape and the community vocation of the building.
